The Giver by Lois Lowery- Perfect World

This is a school assignment I had to do and I really liked my response so I decided to blog it. Tell me what you think and write your own response!!!

(assignment) Jonas's world is perfect. Everything is under control. There is no war or fear or pain. There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the Community.

What would perfect look like?
How could you have no crime, no unhappiness, no violence, no jealously, no ect?
What things would you have to give up?
Would it be worth it?

(my response) I personally don't think it's possible to have a perfect world. Everything on earth has flaws and I think without those flaws the human race would crumble. In a perfect world, no one would really be happy - or alive for that matter. Rules would constantly have to be followed, and everything and everyone would work like a machine. There would be nothing different in everyday life, no risks, no fights, no excitment. And everyone would look the same. How boring! Flaws is what makes up the world, and if we didn't have them beauty wouldn't exist. It is also not possible to have a world without unhappiness and jealously. Crime and violence is possible to get rid of if there is nothing to be violent about, but unhappiness and jeaously are emotions. It's human instinct to have them and not possible to get rid of them. Something will always happen to bring up those emotions. As for giving things up, well, you would have to give up your life. There are no choices for you if you work like a machine. You couldn't live and learn like a normal human being. You woud always have the perfect soul mate, the perfect family, the perfect friends. I would never want that. Humans are naturally selfish and always want more, so something would always want to be changed in this "utopia." So no, i really don't think it's worth it at all. Living in a perfect world would be like living in a bubble. But what if we started out as a perfect world and already had all the happiness out? Do i think it's possible? Yes. But one person would always have to know unhappiness, anger, and jealously to keep it away. It would also be better at a certain age to decide if we would actually want to live in this perfect world with no options or live in the real world with options, risks, and fun. Who would really want this perfect world as their life?

Its a little hard to read at times so I typed it up.

My Blank Book ~Page 1~

You know how many times I have said, "And I, Jojo, have fallen in love"? Well... lets just say I've said it a lot. More then twice. But you know what bugs me about this this feeling called love?... How do you know when it's truly true? Like when its not a lie... Oh my gosh... love lies! Cheating! Why? Why does it happen to the innocent? Not just me, not just girls, not just guys but every innocent person who's heart's shattered pieces have been taped, sewn, and crazy glued back together a million and seven times. How many more times can one's heart take that kind of hurt until its not fixable? I mean I guess with every new love comes heartbreak but, how many times can you say, "And I, yes I, have found the one," before it can really be true? But for all you girls and guys reading this saying, "Yeah! Where is that one?" You will find them. Trust. The one is there, just look and see whats hidden in plain sight, that's where that special someone is hiding. The one that has been there for you through it all. And for those of you saying, "I have found my love, so why bother reading this crap?" Well keep reading because one day that love might leave and you'll end up a broken soul just like I used to be. Yes I, Jojo, has had promises broken and seen them broken center stage. Don't believe me? Well think about it... everyone has seen promises broken right in front of their tear-filled eyes. And then you say to yourself, "It will never happen to me again, the next will be better." Well take a stand and be that better next! If your that better next for that person, they will follow you. And look out for that person that might be using you because that sucks. It's happened to me oh so many times. Three times to be exact. Good thing that feeling hasn't been around this time with my one and only. Fourth times the charm right? God I hope... But I never want to let this one go. It would hurt way to much. And if your one of those special ones that has found that special someone, hold onto them and never let them go. Tell them you love them with all your heart and mean it. But if your not one of those, honestly, he or she will come! Trust me! When you get them hold on tight, you might have found the one you might never want to let go of and... I wouldn't. Love them like it's the last second you have together and don't let a silly broken heart stop you. Now for all you looking for that someone, get off your butt and get out there! But for all you with that special someone, just stay for a second... When I said hold on tight and never let them go, well listen to me because if they slip away, they might never come back. And when you say,

"I love you..."

truly mean it or just don't say it at all. And when you two aren't saying anything, just blurt out how much they mean to you. It will make them so happy and guarantee that they will make you happy when they say how much you mean to them in reply. Trust me, now go grab them in your arms real tight, never let go, and say "I love you!" and mean it.

13X2=26 a dark day in September

Today is a dark day and not only because I haven't seem to notice the sun shine in days or that there is a flood warning going over the whole state of Connecticut. Well... the flood warning has something to do with it but let me explain... It is September 26th. Look at the title if you still don't have a clue... (waits) ...Okay, got it now? No? Thought not... okay well usually Friday the 13th is an unlucky day and if today was Friday the 13th I would be really superstitious, but it's not... it's the 26th and that is why Friday the 13th and the 26th are unlucky days. A lot has gone wrong today I'm not happy about. How about you? Any bad luck today? Think about it...

Ultra Maniac!!!

I love those books. It's so sweet and I think Ayu and Nina (the main characters) are totally ment to be best friends. I think their friendship totally takes to a new level in Volume 2. Ohmygosh I love them but I can't really tell you anything more or I might give it away. Just read them. I read volume 1 and 2 in one day so it's not that hard.

The first band is All Time Low. I immediately loved them and I just found them today on youtube. The song is called "Six Feet Under The Stars" and in my opinion the lead singer is way hot!



And this next song is by There for Tomorrow. Way cool band and again immediately fell in love with them the same way as I fell in love with All Time Low. This song is called "Pages". I think it is wicked cool and again the lead singer is way hot!

Hey guess who? Its someone new!

Hi doubt any of you know me, but I am the second best writer in the world. And for those of you who are still mentally confused and still don't know my name... I... Am... Irongirl...
